Just after finishing his A-level, Tom started working as a sound mix assistant for several bands, before switching from music to TV. He was a trainee at RTL Germany, learning editing and motion graphics. He moved on to developing and implementing campaigns and movie trailers for films such as The Bourne Conspiracy, Borat, X-Men, etc. At the same time, Tom directed several short films and music videos, before he started studying directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Würtemberg. A scholarship took him to UCLA, where he learned about the Hollywood perspective. Tom specialized in directing commercials. His Rock'n'Roll Manifesto granted him the prestigious Young Director's award in Cannes Lions 2013. Since then, he's been represented by Quad and Fighting Fish in France. Tom lives in Berlin.
